about

A frantic bit of fun, originally written and demoed in May '92. I'm handling all vocals, guitars and bass, Jonno Deily played drums and keys (including the rollicking Jerry Lee-style piano part in the bridge), and the engineer, Ducky Carlisle, yells into the bass pickup at the end—listen close and you shall hear.

lyrics

You can alter the alignment, but no matter what happens
It won’t turn out the way that I want it to be
More and more questions, that’s all you deliver
You got the arrows, I got the quiver

It’s gotten to the point where you don’t have to do a thing
Your voice in my ear has an intoxicating ring
Your every move is making me shiver
You got the arrows, I got the quiver

I got the quiver, I got the quiver

It was never a question of getting to you
It was always a question of what do I do
I was lost from the moment you appeared
And I get so nervous at the very idea
Of you wanting me

I’m so full of myself but I want to be full of you
And my present state of mind will just never do
You got all the necessary equipment to send me up the river
You got the arrows

I got the quiver, I got the quiver
I got the quiver, I got the quiver
